Making the Foundation’s vision of replicating the comprehensive development model of people with DS a reality, not staying only in the city, in 2023 the SACATEPÉQUEZ ANNEX was inaugurated, which currently serves more than 50 students, including babies, children, adolescents and adults, located on San Felipe de Jesús Highway #118, Antigua Guatemala. Assisting students from neighboring departments such as Escuintla and Chimaltenango, opening the Foundation’s route of opportunities in the central region of Guatemala.
On February 2 we inaugurated the first annex of the foundation located in San Felipe de Jesús from La Antigua Guatemala in order to support the families of babies, children, adolescents and adults with Down Syndrome from Sacatepéquez and neighboring departments.
In the Sacatepéquez annex, most of the programs for the students with Down Syndrome, these being; Early Intervention, Therapies individual and group, Comprehensive Early Childhood Care, Comprehensive Care of Children and Supported Independent Living.
In the annex there is the feeding project for the students of scarce resources, provided refreshments and daily lunch. As well as providing incaparina or drinkable oatmeal in the refreshments.
The complementary programs are: Language therapy, Physiotherapy, Sensory, Psychology.
Distance programs: Social work, Dentistry, Nutrition, Medical.
There is a minibus that runs every day at different stops. from Sacatepéquez to bring students closer to their classes.
In each classroom there is a special educator in charge and a teacher. assistant or nanny.
